Jesus Christ do I hate those dumbass commenters that do that all the friggin' time in blog posts. "First!" I wish there was some way to display that person's full address with his comment so we can all do a Jay and Silent Bob and fly to each person's house and beat the crap out of them! THAT would be AWESOME! And, yes, some dipshit is going to do that here and I'm going to share his/her IP address. No joke.

ANYWAY, welcome to the first (non-basketball data reference) post on Barkley's Mouth, a blog that will aim high to meet the standards of journalistic acumen, strict enforcement of grammar, and abiding by the credo of "telling the whole truth, and nothing but the truth." BULLSHIT! If you want to read that kind of stuff, pick up the soon-to-be deceased paper of your choice. This is a blog about basketball and it's going to kick ass. It's going to kick so much ass, my aim is to actually make you rub one of your lower fleshy cheeks every time you read something I write. Semi-gay? Maybe. Do I care? No. Is it because I'm so secure in my manly bass voice, ability to blink quick enough that I don't ever tear and show that thing called "emotion," and have a Patrick Ewing-like shaft of my own (not his because that wouldn't fit in my apartment)? You bet your ass!

In any case, we have a strong team of writers and I assure you, they are better than me, which is why I recruited them for this little project. In alphabetical order, Lang Greene has been writing about the NBA for a while now and is a credentialed member of the media, able to get interviews and the inside scoop of what's going down in the A. Matt Satten has worked for DIME and has his very own weekly fantasy basketball column on SI.com during the season and is quite possibly the biggest Philly homer on the face of the earth. Mike Slane is young, but has already done so much in his writing/editing career, having worked for NBA.com and currently with Knicks.com as its beat writer. As for myself, I like to be foul and unconventional.

Well, that's it for now, the content will start to flow like one of R. Kelly's on one of his girlfriends, so make sure you check us out on the regular!!!
